Do
Your Homework!
Ok,
we don't want to sound like your mother, but there are a few things
you should do before we start your website. But don't worry, it
won't be as hard as algebra was.
- Check
out some websites --what
do you like or dislike about some other websites: layout?
colour scheme? usability?
- What
do you want in your website?
--an art gallery? information
about yourself? information about the
process of creating your product? articles you've written? a price
list and ordering information? Knowing what you want on each
page of your website will speed the process of making each
page and connecting the whole site.
- What
do you want it to look like? --
colour scheme, background patterns, text, logos, pictures.
- Will
you be selling a product(s)? -- how will you accept orders (mail, on-line)? how will you
accept payment (personal cheques, credit cards, Paypal)?
Now
we're ready to get started. Contact us and tell us everything.
The more details you can provide about the website you're envisioning,
the better. Otherwise, we'll have to ask you about the details
anyway. We have a questionnaire that will help take you through the process of determining what your website will accomplish and look like. <click here> to see it. At
this point, if you have a computerized copy of your work (a digital
photo or a scanned copy), we'll get that from you and get started
putting your website together. If you don't, we can assist in
getting your art scanned or photographed for you.
Next,
we'll give you an estimate on the price and the estimated time to
completion. As a rule of thumb, the cost is approximately $75
per page on a website. Of course, other factors can come into
play, such as any added features you may want. To see our price list, click
here. Once we have all the information from you, a 5-page website
can be completed in about two weeks. If you're ready to get started,
contact us and we'll get going on your website right away! |
